Cape Town

We had an awesome visit to Cape Town back in December 2012. It was very special for us as we were celebrating our anniversary. We visited Table Mountain, Robben Island and the waterfront.  Unfortunately we did not get to do the wine tours.
A view of Table Mountain and the city of Cape Town

The mountain side - haven for baboons

Amazing views of the coastline

The Waterfront. We boarded here to go to Robben Island

John always curious to know where he is and where he's going

View of Table Mountain from Robben Island - very misty!

Derek was a former political prisoner at Robben Island.  He is now a tour guide

This is the pit where the prisoners cut stones. They all returned and the heap of stones you see were made by them all putting a stone as a signal of peace and unity. Mr Mandela laid the first stone.
